Introducing the Dowling Daisy, a cocktail as bold and border-crossing as Mary Dowling herself. A bourbon twist on the original Daisy — the classic that gave us the modern margarita — this version is built on Mary Dowling's Tequila Barrel Bourbon, the high-rye expression finished in tequila barrels in tribute to her Prohibition-era flight to Juárez. Fresh lime, chipotle-infused agave, a single jalapeño slice, and a drop of mole bitters bring smoke, heat, and depth, finished with a Tajín-rimmed coupe and a fresh wheel of lime and jalapeño. It's spicy. It's sophisticated. It's a margarita with a Kentucky soul — and a fitting tribute to a woman who never met a border she couldn't cross.
