A scant ¼ oz of agave nectar adds a touch of sweetness, with the option to infuse it with chipotle pepper powder for an extra layer of smoky heat. The cocktail is elevated by a dash of chili-infused orange bitters, made by steeping Thai chilis in orange bitters, which brings a vibrant kick to each sip. A final dash of Hella Mexican chocolate bitters adds a deep, complex finish, tying together the flavors with a hint of earthy spice. Ingredients:

2 oz MD Tequila Finished Bourbon
1/4 oz scant agave nectar
1 dash chili-infused orange bitters (1.5 Thai chilis in 5 oz orange bitters for 60-75 minutes)
1 dash Hella Mexican chocolate bitters

Garnish:

Flamed orange peel or torched cinnamon stick

Instructions

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir for 20-30 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass with one large cube or sphere, garnish with flamed orange peel or torched cinnamon stick.
If you use a cinnamon stick, you can put a small flower in the stick and place the stick in the glass.
